Frequently Asked Questions

We partner with Aegis, Bamboo, Delos, and Light Speed.  Each provider has their own criteria that determines whether you can get appointed, it is not solely our decision. You can find more information about each partner below.

Some notes on Bamboo: 

1. If you have previously been appointed and then terminated with Bamboo, then you are no longer eligible. 
2. If you are already working with First Connect, then you are not eligible for Bamboo. In this case, the only partner you would be adding by working with Carlsbad Specialty is Aegis. 

All of the information that will be requested can be found on the "Get Appointed" page. That can be found here: link to page.

If approved, we will request the following documents:                      

1. W9 form
2. A copy of your E&O dec page or a COI
3. A copy of your individual license
4. A copy of the entity license
5. Optional* Completed ACH form if you would like to receive payments electronically (the file can be found at the bottom of the page: jump to downloads)                      

If you are approved, the next steps will vary depending on the carrier(s) you have access to. 

1. Aegis: CSIS will email you a link for onboarding. Please let us know when completed, otherwise Aegis will decline the application.
2. Bamboo: You will be contacted directly by Bamboo via email for onboarding. Follow the steps provided. 
3. Delos: CSIS will email you a link to onboard directly to Delos Insurance Solutions as a CSIS agency. 
4. Light Speed: You will be emailed by CSIS a form and excel spreadsheet that need to be completed. The excel spreadsheet must be returned in an .xcl format when returned to us. 

Once the onboarding process is complete, you will be going to the carrier's website to do everything (underwriting, binding, etc.). The only thing that is done with CSIS is commission accounting.  

You can access commission reports through logging in to Racing Snail / Mivation. This can be found at: https://id.mivation.com/login.  This can also be found in the Client Login portion of the page below for easy access.

          2. We are looking to expand to other states. 

          3. We are always looking for ways to grow our network to help our agents         

               write more business. 

While our headquarters are in Carlsbad, CA, our network of providers serves all of California. We are looking to expand opportunities in other states as well.
